Hiking Trails R30.00 pp
4 different hiking trails have been set out on the Coastal reserve. All the hiking trails are marked with different colors and vary from 3 to 7,5 kilometers. Breath in the fresh air of the “fynbos” and listen to the sounds of nature and extensive bird life.

Beach Horse Rides: R350.00 pp
Enjoy an unforgettable experience while exploring the Coastal Reserve on horseback and have a gallop or trot along the 3,5 kilometer private beach next to the waves of the Indian Ocean. This activity always goes out with an experienced guide/s and we have various horses, which are even suitable for the “first-timers” or children. 006
Beach Dune Safari: R350.00 pp
Travel along the dunes in a dune safari vehicle with a dedicated guide who will tell you all about the reserve and the natural surroundings. Birding, whale watching, sun-downers and night drives, are just some of the few highlights to experience on our Dune Safari. Maximum 10 guests, 5 per vehicle.   006
Dune Picnic: R165.00 pp
To look after your appetite, order a picnic on one of the 4 viewing decks. The friendly staff will gladly prepare a delicious picnic basket for you. Just let us now when and where and one of the experienced guides will bring the basket to you on horseback! 018
Boma Bush Braai: R450.00 pp
Enjoy a South African braai in out luxurious Boma.  With your private chef this is the perfect setting to have a braai, we cater for a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 36. Enjoy a traditional 3 course dinner, which includes a starter, a main and a lovely desert. At the end of your evening enjoy a relaxed stroll back to the lodge, with beautiful views of the Milky Way. Massages: R450.00 - R550.00 pp
Spoil yourself with a relaxing massage by hiring a massage therapist. Massages take place at the wellness center, the Boma.

Dairy Experience: R350.00 pp
Experience the life of the dairy cows on the Grass Ridge Dairy farm right next door. Your guide will take you through the pastures and around the farm answering any questions that you may have. Then it’s off to the dairy for a look at how more than 900 cows are milked daily.
Mountain Biking: R150.00 pp
Explore 235 hectare of Coastal Reserve on a mountain bike. Ride over dunes, through the river and on the beach. Mountain Biking
Geo-Caching: R30.00 pp for day visitors and free to our guests.  A guide could assist with an additional cost)
Explore the Coastal Reserve with clues to reach the 'treasure chest'. You may end up walking away with a South African treasure. Within the chest you will find your next clue. Have Fun!!! Classic Geocache
Guided Bird, Wetland and Fynbos Tour R350.00 pp
Take a walk on the 235 hectare large property which is home to over 170 different bird species, with a variety of different environments, such as a 3.5 km private beachfront, 2 vast stretches of dunes, wetlands, woodlands, river deltas and a variety of fynbos. There is a dedicated trail for this walk. The guide will take you along the trail and show you all that is to be seen and a whole lot more. 013
Sand boarding R200.00 per a board
Have you ever pictured yourself standing on the top of a dune and see yourself sliding down on a sand board. Feel the wind blow through your hair, while there is nothing but serine beauty surrounding you. You will be shown the ropes at the lodge and you can go at your own pace with the sand board. Township Tour: R350.00 pp
Take a guided tour through Umzamuwethu. Visit the creche, where you’ll be able to meet all the townships little ones. Experience what the local schooling system is all about. Enjoy a tantalizing cup of tea served by the locals and join the children for lunch. Stroll in the streets and meet the locals. 012
River Kayaking: R250.00 pp
Explore the property by kayak. Meander down the river and unto the beach. See the sights of our horses, buck, and a variety of birdlife, such as the King Fisher and the African Fish Eagle. The option is available to anchor the kayak and enjoy a picnic at one of private decks. Kayak

A great way to get up and moving.  We have designed 10 fun and exciting activities. You will get a guide that will accompany you. These activities include water, climbing, hanging, balancing and thinking. Don't forget your personality for this one. Snack pack included.  Kayak
  • Our family loved every moment of our stay at Oyster Bay. The staff went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable and the food was wonderful and the bay is just out of this world. My husband has been all over the world and he said it is the most beautiful beach he has seen. The location is perfect, and we will go back.

  • We had a family room, which is quite simple. But that's not important because if you come to oyster bay, you have to stay at the beach. It's a bit comparable to the beaches of St. Lucia (ZA) but the dunes are much nicer (yes, the water is much colder).
